GRANDparenting

Grandparenting is a hoot! How much depends, at least in part, on how wise and healthy the owl that makes the hoot!

We’re not what we used to be – but it’s not all bad! If you’re a grandparent, you will know that most grandkids have a healthy love of adventure, exploring and discovery. There is an innocence and irrepressible curiosity for life that can rub off on those of us that start getting a little jaded with some of life’s harsh realities – like getting old(er)! Their enthusiasm for life gives us cause to defy the aging process and stay healthy and well.

Leave a legacy. While a financial legacy can be very beneficial, the legacy we pass on by an example of generous, virtuous lives sets future generations up more than any financial legacy ever will. With many Mums and Dads now both working fulltime, taking the opportunities to pass on our wisdom to the second generation is more important today than it has ever been.

Staying healthy. I remember a recent occasion spending a couple of hours on the floor building Lego with our two beautiful grandkids – all went great until it was time to get up off the floor! Once again, I had opportunity to appreciate the value of a good chiropractic adjustment! As we age, it becomes all the more important to look after our health, and better still, help instil healthy behaviours in our grandkids while they are young, and it’s often the small things that have the biggest impact.

As they say, “As grows the branch, so grows the tree.”

I love being a grandparent and find this journey enriching! I aiming to remain the healthiest version of myself so I can give my best to my grandkids! If you’re looking for ways to achieve great health and remain healthy, we’ve got a team of fantastic people who would love to help you!

To your greatest health!
