Naturopathic medicine aims to identify and treat the cause of imbalance within the body, and not only addresses physical ailments, but also encompasses the mental, emotional and environmental aspects of an individual’s wellbeing.

Naturopathic techniques include the use of herbal and nutritional medicine, along with comprehensive dietary and lifestyle advice.
These techniques can be used to help address a range of conditions from:

  • Fatigue and low vitality

Naturopathy FAQ’s

Who needs a Naturopath?

Naturopathy & NutritionThe truth is, people from all walks of life can benefit from a naturopathic treatment. A Naturopath is like a personal health coach (with qualifications) – they will guide you, teach you and support you in all areas of health and wellbeing so that you can achieve your health goals. Whether you are interested in treatment for a pre-existing health condition or preventing future health problems, we can help.

How long will it take me to feel well?

A difficult question to answer as every individual is unique and it depends on how long you have been unwell. Most patients will start to notice improvements in their symptoms from 4 to 6 weeks of commencing their treatment plan. Treating a person’s underlying causes can take between 3 months to 2 years, again dependent on individual presentation.

Why can it take so long?

It takes time for changes in our diet and lifestyle to be reflected in newly generated cells. In fact, red blood cells turnover every 4 months, liver cells take 12 weeks, skin cells take 6 weeks and some digestive cells take 5 days. Healing takes time.

Is it safe if I’m already taking medication?

Yes – our Naturopath has been trained in both herbal, nutritional and pharmacology. Meaning, she is aware of the interactions between herbs, nutrients and medication. You will never receive treatment that could compromise any medication you are currently prescribed.

Why natural medicine?

The answer is in the question – because it is natural! Our bodies are designed to process and absorb natural products more effectively and efficiently than medications. Natural medicine is not the answer is everything – but it is likely there is an aspect of everyone’s health that could use natural medicine, whether it be dietary analysis, nutritional support or herbal medicine. And if you can take something natural versus a synthetically made medication, why not?
